Kirtland High School Students Working Hard on 2020 Yearbook
Kirtland High School English teacher and yearbook advisor Jennifer Berry and her yearbook staff are committed to capturing this year by creating a printed and bound artifact of life in Kirtland in 2020. “When your plans are foiled by a pandemic, you roll with it, create new content, and shine,” said Berry.

“Because spring sports, the play and senior end-of-year activities were canceled, that made for a lot of empty pages,” said Berry.  “We have filled these pages with how our students and staff are learning and teaching. Students are sending photos from home featuring their game nights, walks, and even Chopped challenges. There are so many great ways Kirtland families are coming together and these will be showcased and remembered forever.”  The creativity of the 24 yearbook staff students are highlighting senior spring athletes in an alternative way.  They also were able to secure an extension that allows the school to keep prom and graduation in the book if they go ahead with the July date.  “Flexibility has been our main mantra and our students are doing just that,” said Berry.
