Dear KHS Families,

We had a successful first week of state testing here at KHS. We will run the same schedule next week, with testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. All students in Biology or Honors Biology will take their end of course test on Tuesday. All students in any US History or Government class (including AP) will take their end of course test on Wednesday. We will continue to run specific AP Bootcamps during testing next week. All other students not testing or in a Bootcamp can arrive at 9:50 am for first period. On Friday, we will run the Wednesday “Blue” Block Schedule. The adjusted schedule, along with logistical details, can be found below.

Thank you to everyone who filled out the Family Cell Phone Survey. I have taken calls and emails from parents this past week regarding cell phones in school, and find all feedback valuable. No decision has been made regarding a building wide cell phone policy for next year, but likely there will be one. I will continue to collect information so I can make the best decision for staff, students, and families.

Finally, I’d like to highlight the new staff members that were board approved on Monday. These new hires will join our team for the 2024-25 school year. I’m happy to say that we were able to fill these positions with experienced and talented educators, which is a testament to this school district and community. The new hires are listed below.
