Kirtland High School Newsletter - 3/28/24

Dear KHS Families,

I hope you all are enjoying Spring Break so far. Just a reminder that on the Eclipse Day, April 8th, there will be no school for students. Additionally, all after school activities are canceled.

We are in the final stages of preparing our students to take Ohio’s End of Course exams. We will administer End of Course exams over six school days during a three-week period. Testing days are April 16th, April 17th, April 23rd, April 24th, April 30th and May 1st. All students in Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, 10th grade English (ELA II), American History, and Government will take End of Course exams. On testing days, students taking an exam will report to school promptly by 7:30 am. We will be running a delayed schedule on testing days, meaning that all students not taking an End of Course exam, or attending an AP Bootcamp (AP study session), will report to school at 9:50 am. Students who ride the bus to school will be housed in the cafeteria until 9:50 am on testing days. For all other important information regarding testing, including specific testing dates and bell schedule, please reference the following one page informational summary.

Prom: Junior and Senior parents, if your child plans to attend Prom, tickets are on sale during their lunch. Tickets are $80 per person. If paying with a check, please make checks payable to Kirtland High School. Prom is on Friday May 3rd, and there will be no school for students that day.

Classes will resume for all students on Tuesday, April 2nd. Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Victor Puskas, KHS Principal
